Cookie notice

1. What counts as a cookie
A cookie is a tiny file stored by your browser at a website's request, letting that website recognise the browser on a later visit. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, read alongside the UK GDPR, any cookie that is not strictly needed requires your permission first. Here is every cookie we use and the way to switch each one off.
2. Our three cookies
| Name | Job | Permission | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preference | Stores the choice you made in the cookie banner | Not asked, strictly necessary | 12 months |
| Statistics | Adds your visit to anonymous page totals | Asked first | 13 months at most |
| Campaign | Notes which of our pages led a reader on to Jokabet | Asked first | 90 days at most |
Say no, and only the preference cookie is written. Every page still works in full.
3. Why statistics and campaign cookies exist
Keeping a review accurate means knowing which pages people depend on. Aggregate figures show us where an outdated payout time or bonus rule would mislead the most readers, so those pages get re-checked first. They also reveal sections that confuse, for instance where most visitors drop away after a few seconds. None of this requires knowing who you are, and nothing we look at singles out a person.
The campaign cookie has a narrower job: it lets Jokabet match a new customer to the page that referred them, which is how our commission is calculated. The editorial disclaimer explains that arrangement openly.
4. What you will not find here
No advertising networks track you from this site to others. There are no social media buttons that drop cookies the moment a page opens. No cookie we set carries your name or email address. We also avoid fingerprinting and similar techniques that try to identify a browser without cookies at all.
5. Changing your mind
A "Cookie settings" link sits at the foot of every page. Selecting it brings the banner back, and each optional category can be turned on or off there; the new choice takes effect immediately. Clearing cookies in your browser works too, though the banner will then reappear on your next visit and ask again.
6. Once you are on Jokabet
Clicking through to the casino puts you on a site outside our control. Jokabet, and firms working with it, may place cookies of their own, some of them used to record a referral. Its cookie policy, published on its site, covers those. All our campaign cookie learns is that a click occurred; what you do at the casino stays invisible to us.
7. Browser settings
You can also manage cookies directly in your browser:
- Chrome: open Settings and look under Privacy and security for third-party cookies.
- Safari: Settings, Privacy, and the cross-site tracking switch.
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security, Enhanced Tracking Protection.
- Edge: Settings, then the Cookies and site permissions page.
Blocking cookies across the board can make other sites forget your preferences. On this site the only consequence is that the banner will greet you on every visit.
8. Contact and date
Our wider approach to personal information is in the privacy notice. Send cookie questions to the editors' inbox; we answer them like any other reader message, usually within two working days. This notice was reviewed in September 2026. The review itself is on the home page and the casino page.
